The E3 console is the heart of the Espion Electrophysiology system. The E3 console features a fanless, hard-anodized aluminum chassis, real-time DSP, USB control, an isolated power supply and 5 channel isolated differential amplifiers. The E3 connects to any Windows PC and can be wirelessly connected over standard wi-fi Ethernet. The E3 includes easy-to-use software to run standard ISCEV tests as well as setup research experiments in an intuitive manner.

The data acquisition system is based around a fast DSP microprocessor that
controls and synchronizes data acquisition and stimulator timing independently
from the PC. The system is comprised of 5 differential DC coupled amplifiers (pre-
vent AC amplifier lockup) with the following specification:
