The PERG product suite includes an E2, a Pattern Stimulator, and DTL electrodes and is capable of performing all ISCEV standard PERG tests.
The PERG or the Pattern Electroretinogram test assesses retinal response to a structured stimulus such as a reversing black and white checkerboard. The PERG test provides the examiner with information useful in determining a distinction between optic nerve disease and macular disease in patients with poor central visual acuity. PERG signals from the electrodes placed on the eye have much lower amplitude than the full-field ERG; highly accurate, noise-free signal acquisition is necessary for successful retinal recording, a key feature of the E2 electro-physiology system.
